How To Cook Mangan Express Tocino (Filipino Bacon)

Tocino is a sweet cured meat. It is a Filipino breakfast staple especially in Pampanga, and is usually served with garlic fried rice (sinangag) and fried egg (itlog) - this combination is known as "tocilog".

Instructions
  • Add tocino and water over medium heat
  • Simmer until water is reduced
  • Add oil
  • It will start to fry once water starts evaporating
  • Turn occasionally
  • Fry for 3 to 5 minutes or depending on your cooking preference
  • Remove from heat
  • Serve with garlic rice, fried egg and chopped tomatoes. Enjoy!
